Thank you Josephine!
I like to take pictures. But lately, I have not been too active in photography of wildflowers. Most I photographed insects and spiders. Insects have an advantage. Just a light on at night and the insects come to you for a photo shoot.
For the wildflowers, you have to be where they are, and at the right time.
Of course all this may be required in the case of insects, too.
And spring is so short! I fear that with this long winter, we will go directly into summer.

Few more photos of Nothoscordum bivalve (taken on February 9, 2014 - Victoria, Tx.)
The plants are in backyard. Here in South, should be a sign of spring. How are Snowdrops in other zones.
(Yes, maybe they are to much photos of the same plant, hope not be boring.)

Photos without using flash.

Photos with using flash. Allows setting shorter exposure time and use a narrow aperture. The background will be dimly lit and becomes black in photos.

Gleni, is the plant in your picture an Australian native? It is very interesting, what is it? Smiling

Josephine do you mean the current one? the pitcher plant? I have changed them around in the last couple of hours.
The red one was one of my favourite plants, Sturt's Desert Pea. Stunning but painful to grow.

This is a hybrid of Nepenthes maxima x N. alata. None of these are Australian species. However, three species of carnivorous nepenthes occur in Australia, two of which are endemic.

This was the pea.

Yes, I meant the pitcher plant, the trunk of the plant next to it is also amazing, what is it?

The red pea is gorgeous, but why is it painful to grow? spines maybe? Smiling

Josephine, the pitcher plant is growing up a Screw Pine or Palm. The picture is of the actual tree.

Sturt's Desert Pea is from the interior of Australia and is a real arid country lover and just so difficult to grow in a moister clime. They are domesticating it bit by bit, however. Lol. That one is from Flinders University breeding and selection program.
