I recall reading an easy method to plant a mass bed of bulbs. Was it on this forum? I can't find it. I swore to plant my 100 bulbs that way this spring! Does anyone remember that post?

If it's a new bed, one possibility would be to cover the area with cardboard, apply a 3-6" layer of compost, position your bulbs, then cover with a deep layer of mulch- 4-6" above the tops of the bulbs.
