I see a lot of things popping up in bloom here now after having gotten some rains...feather acacias are planted quite a bit here and they're blooming everywhere, seeing broom starting to bloom and I see now..1 ox-eye daisy in the lawn...I think many consider them a nuisance, but I'm charmed by their presence, plus the red clover and the white clover...all of which will be gone since I'll be keeping no grass anyway.

I hope so too.....I was actually surprised by this small botanical garden on the way into Brookings...it's the first time that I've stopped to take a look and they had several plants that we didn't have in our database...however, it was frustrating that there were a lot of plants un-identified. I plant to go back now once a week or so to see what else is coming into bloom. It's planted and maintained by the local Garden Club.

I saw several large rhodys in bloom today, but they were out of the way for stopping. There is a large one in the front of this house we're in, but it hasn't bloomed yet. I'm not overly attracted to Rhodys, but maybe I will be lucky and it will be a subtle one..although going by the choice of the camellias they'd planted, I doubt it....lol..
