Oh, my! Here I am!
Valentine Rose, at her best. I have to give this silly plant a dose of boron/copper/zinc just about every day to get the flowers to look like this. And, for my effort, a slight old Victorian sort of fragrance!

Hi Melissa,
Do you give the boron/copper/zinc in the form of fertilizer?
I ask because I have one grafted plant (triple) that produced copious buds and they grew and swelled to the point of opening, but failed. This will be my third season with this plant and am hoping it will complete it's blooms this year. It produces buds so prolifically.
I to have a Valentine Rose. This will be my first blooming season for it.

Sometimes we get excited about buds, and feed and water a little too generously. The buds are little piggies, they gorge themselves, get sick, and die. Booo. They over drink to the point that their cells burst. So do water, but sparingly.

Boron/copper/zinc/ comes in a soluble powder. I add it to fertilized water when I feed, weakly weekly. Except silly Valentine Rose, that one gets a teeny bit every other day. Whatta hassle! But without that much the buds do the spaghetti dance, get stingy and ugly. I brought home a spoonful from the giant jugfull at the botanical gardens, and use just a tiny pinch at a time. It's from a company named Hummert. I don't know the proper dose. But it's strong stuff. I haven't found a potting mix that has enough of the traces to keep all the plants blooming fully.

I don't know the name of this one.
