It says liriope muscari on the tag and it is the variegated kind. It also says part sun, morning sun only. I am sure I had some of this at my pervious house and it was in full sun? I just planted about 10 of these I found on a clearance rack and they all went into a full sun/facing south position. Of course after I planted them all I read the tag LOL

Just got mine last year and put them in full sun. I was clearing out that bed just last night and actually was a bit alarmed how much they have already spread and multiplied! I was thinking they might have to go. My flower bed real estate is too valuable and I'm not that enthralled with them. My neighbor gave them to me.

I think the liriope will grow most anywhere. I was given some quite a few years ago, and I am still digging them up every year.

I had one before and it behaved nicely. Maybe depends on the soil, mine was kind of heavy.
And I sure thought it got a lot of sun there, so I was surprised when I seen the tag say morning sun only.

I have mine everywhere and it is happy no matter where I put it. It doesn't even mind if you don't water it.

I have one plant that's probably ten years old. It's not in the sun and does absolutely nothing except return every year. No blooms, no increase...it's just there. Interesting contrast among the darker leaves surrounding it, but that's about it.

Is it the variegated or other kind. May be they need a little sun. Mine are in part sun or full sun and have to be divided every other year. This border was three plants four years ago!
