My endeavor is microscopic to my perceived need. I have no idea when or if (or ever) there will be famine in this united states. My pessimism may be groundless.

Still I make small bundles of fruit and nut seedlings to give away to poor-battered and or disabled people to plant out. Where they may find space to plant them is their business.

I am always in pursuit of not hybridized nuts. When your trees harvest come ripe, please let me know and I will work out getting you postage for them.

Its not a new idea, this food island stuff. Mormons did it in a much bigger way in the nineteenth century, than I will ever complete in the twenty-first.

I applaud your efforts! Can you give us a better idea of what types of nuts/seeds you are looking for exactly?

I moved away from my old home range in monadnock region in NH. So I'm rebulding a new interior map here in SE-OH. For wild crafted seed.

Top of the list antonovka apple seed
Any prunus stones in multiples
The less sissified nut trees.*
Any vaccinium (blue farkle huckle-berry)

* Northern hearty pecan for example will grow just as well in Texas as it will in Michigan, where a thin shell pecan won't fill a nut in Michigan...

Nut seed sites I have located are persimmon, hazel nut, pignut, pawpaw.

So in their season I guess I could use those as barter if it'll grease the skids.
