What a fun trip! They look like nice plants. I'm with Susan, if they can't split now you can let them grow for awhile and split them later. Big Grin

Oh, we will for sure divide later! We *try* never to buy the same thing. But a thing or two we are just to impatient to wait for mature division.

I just want to say how truly awesome the staff are at Bluestone! They go above and beyond. So friendly and helpful. One of the nurserymen spent over a half hour talking to my mom and me. His enthusiasm was so infectious. He also pointed out some items he felt were often overlooked. Items he has in his personal garden. One was lespedeza (I think). It is something I never heard of and would never have picked out. I'm excited to give it a try.

I had such a wonderful visit, even though I bought twice as much as I should have. And that was at on site discounted prices!

Now off to Walters Gardens tomorrow for a tour of their wholesale operation. So excited to see that level.

You seldom hear anyone mention lespedeza, I have one in my garden that has been here for years. Mine blooms late when I need some color in the garden plus it is one hardy plant here in zone 4. I prune it down to the ground every spring and it always grows back to it's full height making a graceful arching bush.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

Great advice Betty! I love arching shrubs and plants like daylilies. Thumbs up
