Farm/feed stores usually sell bulk seed by the pound.
Bar W Feed and Seed Supply is one which is in Grantville, Georgia.
The farm/feed stores usually stock seed which is the correct type to grow in their local area.
(I try to buy local whenever possible as it helps my neighbors to survive.)

Thanks everyone! @greene, it's for a friend in MD. We do shop local, in Newnan. Store in Grantville is okay, but usually doesn't have all that we need.

First, I would guess that and local feed & seed store can beat online prices when you include shipping. But will they have the varieties your friend wants?

I second Johnny's, Territorial, Fedco and maybe Hazzards.
Fedco has some "group ordering deal" that I assume gets you more discount as you order more seeds.

Even the Baker Creek website has some "1/2 pound " packets that have fairly good prices. But they hide them well! One of the "Vegetable" types is "Bulk Vegetables".

I would go to Tainong Seeds for pound-plus-size orders of anything Oriental.
Or to Kitazawa for an even wider variety of Asian seeds, and ask about bulk prices.
