For the past 10 years we have spent our winters in FL, returning to AR in April. That meant that I didn't see my daffodils bloom. Fortunately, this year, we returned to AR in March and I enjoyed a nice show. Some of them have seed and I never thought about seed, but rather multiplying by bulbs. One source said to cut the seed off so that the plant would put its energy into making more bulbs. I want my daffodils to naturalize into a wooded area, so what should I do?

Since they have already gone to seed, I would let the seed ripen,-- and then spread them into the woooded area.
Usually we cut the dying flowers off so they do not go to seed. But if they have already formed seed---you might as well make use of them.

@CarolineScott Thanks so much. That's what I thought. We got here after some of them had already gone to seed, so I am with you that I might as well make use of the seed since they are there. I spent about 15 minutes yesterday digging up a large clump of daffodils that were far away from my wooded area and the only way they could have gotten there is from seed. The soil here is very rocky and once something establishes itself, you almost need a pick axe to remove it. We call a pick axe an Arkansas shovel.
