Looks like Laura Dessert to me. It's an old one, Dessert 1914 so could be. Mine starts out yellow in the middle with white guard petals and fades to all ivory/white. Does that sound like yours? Can't tell if your guard petals are white or pale pink.

Outer leaves get a very light pink tint.

Think yours is an anemone type rather than a double. The Heartland Peony Society's search tool lets you query by flower type, color and bloom time as well as name: http://www.peonies.org/ident.h... Unfortunately neither of the ones we suggested come up as a result! They're both pictured in the APS Peony Database: http://www.paeo.de/name/index....

Your white noid peony is very pretty. Another possibility of its id is Charlie's White. Here is a description of it from Adelman peonies: "White, crown-type double, lightly fragrant, early, 36" tall, lactiflora cultivar. Large outer petals surround white bomb with a glow of yellow from inside. Tall for the back of the border."
