demolition rewarded me with quite a collection of 1/2 in copper pipes. I welcome ideas for using in the garden

Lucky you, Jackie. Wind chimes come to mind as a garden project. Also would use as the base (stem) for glass or pottery flowers.
I garden for the pollinators.
