I bought this dogwood over 25 years ago - can't remember where I got it. Has anyone seen it before?

nope but it's really cool!
You can probably propagate it by cuttings if you wanted more of them.

Oh my gosh!!!

It's a magic dogwood alright!

You have no idea how lucky you are!
That's a very rare plant, I've been on the hunt for a PLANT for several years...no such luck!

The best I've done is seeds at $5 a pop...

If you could establish cuttings from that tree, you could easily charge what ever you want for then!!!

If you ever do...please tree me!ยก!
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!

Very nice tree , you should at least try to root another one for yourself. Does not sound that you would be able to replace it easily or at all.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to try rooting some cuttings. I'll let you know if I'm successful!
(it might have been Wayside Gardens - where I bought it. That's where I bought a lot of plants 25 or more years ago.)

I must apologize for being so late to answer your posts. My life is overly full with making pottery for a living, doing eldercare for my 98 yr. old mother and blah, blah, blah. I'm sure you're all busy too!
I just went out to the dogwood with my camera and took these photos. It looks like there are seedpods:

and a view of the tree - which bloomed fantastically this year, but is still a slender tree, despite its age.

If someone, (any of you), wants to walk me through the propagation process, I'll be happy to share the results with you.

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
