I have found that the thick wall of the hypertufa allows my succulents to overwinter much better than most any other planters.

Hope you keep us posted on how you plant them and how they last for you.

The first pot pictured was made with a child's sandbox toy pail, of all things! I'm giving them 2 weeks to cure then I'm going to let water drain through them every day for another week to leech out the lime. At least I'm told that's what you're supposed to do.

Now that you said a child's sand bucket I have or had one just like it. Lynn it is a child's sand bucket that is shaped like that. I am not sure where you find one as I found mine along a road. I will have to see if I still have it. Was gonna use it to plant in.

Lynn let us know what you find and possibly the price. I love the one in the link you posted but almost 5 dollars shipping. Sure love it is 2 gallon also. I hope you find some at Walmart. I am too lazy to go there unless I really need something I tip my hat to you.
