I received this container as a gift from one of my students 30 yrs ago.

Every year I put different little plants in it for the summer. I put him beside my chair in the morning room because it gives me a laugh. I think it is suppose to be a girl because she has a black fur boa around her neck.

I've mentioned a few times that an emoticon with knees shaking in its cowboy boots would be handy and look what Lynn gave me as a gift when I visited her in Oregon...my very own cowboy boot to plant into... Lovey dubby

David yes he made it in woodworking shop. I worked at a trade school. We encouraged the kids to make things for their parents and many of them came from dysfunctional homes so some used me as their surrogate Mom.

Rolling on the floor laughing That is funny. Are you sure you did not give it to her? I thought I brought this pot because I have been known to buy a crazy pot.

I remembered how I got it going through some pics this year when the kid presented me his present.

Ok, now that I've recovered from your news Lynn, somebody has got to fess up on this boot planter. Maybe it was meant for somebody else? There were so many of us at your house Lynn, and so many gifts/trades...
Anyway it was wrapped in paper and taped up. Anybody missing a boot? @gg5 @pardalinum @patty @CDsSister @Springcolor

I confess I had nothing to do with this boot whatsoever. The list of culprits has been narrowed down quite a bit...

Did Petey, Lynn's dog, drop the boot into my bag of goodies from Lynn? and Marilyn, you sound suspicious to me...like you know something...all in Latin....

Clue: price label on bottom of boot was from Goodwill's. We all know who shops there before these clinics...don't we? I do, but I wouldn't be typing this about a boot I bought just for attention...

And Cinta, I would return to the intended owner if I knew who they were... Whistling

What will you plant in that boot Bev?

I'm seeing Burros Tail and a Sheriffs star as an ornamentsomewhere. They probably still have them in a toy store somewhere. Smiling

My first thought when I saw the Boot was,.....Burros Tails!

I then I saw an old fashioned star shaped Sherrif's badge as an ornament somewhere......I wonder if they still sell those kind of things at the toy stores..........?

I don't think too many kids think Cowboys and Indians these days growing up. More Sci-Fi horror and Alien invasion I think probably.........

"Who or What is Roy Rogers?"

Hilarious! Just a thought! Smiling

I bet it was Greg. He can't pass up the Goodwill here in Dallas. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

I asked Petey, he said no he didn't drop it in your bag. No one would take him to Goodwill. He sure wanted to give you something.
