This is one of hundreds in our garden, they are faithful & have returned year after year for the last 20. Ok....that said I want to add some additions!! Any suggests as far as echoes are concerned? Color??
There are many that seem to be short lived or don't bloom true. I'm just looking for some sturdy reliable suggestions & something besides purple LOL

We do not have one blade of grass at our home...just gardens & paths.
Thank You Karen

Virgin has been the best single white.
Milkshake and Meringue have been the best double whites.
For mixed color singles I would go with Cheyenne Spirit.
Pink Double Delight for double pink.
Green Jewel for single green.

I just got a mail from Garden Crossings. Holicow they are expensive. Echies caught my eye and remembering so few of the new hybrids do well I just looked,
twenty dollars for a 5 inch pot is outrageous.
Price isnt the only reason I dont buy their plants. Five inch pots are too cumbersome to handle not to mention a bigger hole in a crowded garden..

I do not have a lot of luck with Echinacea so I buy the three inch pots from SRG or GHS, at certain times of the year they are on sale and I can get them pretty cheap and I do not get so stressed out if they die. I had given up on having a yellow Echinacea because the two I purchased the previous year did not come up and the two I purchased last year did not come back, then the one I planted the year before came back, I did not know till it started blooming yesterday and I was thrilled. I will try more as I find them on sale but the two companies I mentioned they always have sales and 3 inch pots.

All of mine came back as two foot clumps that are covered in buds, the orange one is actually 'Hot Paypaya' and it did nothing last year, maybe one flower but some take a year to settle in and the one I thought was dead came back the following year and that was 'Cleopatra'.

Jennifer: I gave the wrong impression. They have great plants and I was shipped 2 budded Oriental Poppies a few years ago, in great packing , that continue to make me happy.
It's just that I hadnt been to their site in awhile and was taken aback by sticker shock.

My summer sale order came from Santa Rosa. Now I wish I had ordered more echi Cheyenne Spirit. I need 2 more Harvest moon too.
I have a small issue with their packing. Dirt everywhere and some plants dry. Ahhh well the price was good.

That happened to me a couple of times. But the plants were fine and I figured better too dry than too wet. Did you register with them? They will email you every time they have a sale and I believe they will have another sale at the end of summer. I will be looking to get a few extra at that time but its very important that you do not let them bloom, (in fall) they have to focus on putting down roots and getting strong for winter. Blooming takes a lot out of them.

One is in bloom now. I will go to our local nursery and see if I can find some companions for Harvest Moon.
The fall sales dont work for me. I havnt had enough rooting time before the horrible winter comes.
What I like about mail order is I can find many plant varieties that are unusual.

I am back from the nursery and it was expensive as the cones I wanted were in bigger containers.
They had some of the topped varieties and Green Envy but I had that and wasnt impressed. I bought more Cheyanne Spirit but colors I wanted not a mix. I also bought another Harvest Moon. There was a Veronica First Love. HAD to have it.

Checked out for around sixty bucks.I just isnt possible to go there and not get 3 plants more than you went for.

It just jumped into my kart. I must have seen the potential because where I have room the color echoes are going to be great.
