Finally bought a time lapse camera - the Brinno HD TLC 200 f 1.2 .. I was wanting one for the Trichosanthese. Going to try it out tonight - a bud will be opening! I'm debating whether or not to leave it on all night or just let it shoot until it fully opens .. I did get the weather resistant housing and thankfully it doesn't look like rain.

I'll be using a 60 watt light bulb .. have no idea if this will be enough or too much! The aggravating thing is that there is no user forum for this camera on the Brinno site .. you'd think there would be so people could compare notes!

Well, for not having the first clue of what I was doing it didn't turn out too badly .. grossly over exposed though - about 4 hours compressed into 27 seconds at the highest resolution. Thankfully I've got bunches more buds to practice with. Just wish I could find a tutorial or something.

Thanks! It was neat to watch though .. a morning glory will be easier since it's daylight .. I'll be trying out different settings tonight .. I have a Datura innoxia in the back yard that will be opening tonight.

On ebay most of Snake gourds are vegetable to eat with small flowers and different type of leaf.

This one is T. kirilowii aka Chinese Cucumber ... yes to male and female flowers but they don't bloom on the same plant. I've got 20 plants going as I'm determined to get a male plant ... germination rate is really poor. I'm hoping with hand pollination I can increase that rate.

Ok ... the datura came out even worse - like the kirilowii the whites were way off and everything around it looked good .. I think my problem here is trying to video pure white flowers at night. I'm going to concentrate on daytime shoots until I learn more about this camera.
