I made this container a few years ago with these sempervivum, now I want to pull it apart and redo. I should have saved a few out of each cultivar to have as named semps but I didn't. Any chance any of you could ID any?
This is whats in here:
Silver Thaw
Oley
Glaucum Minor I have more of this
Tracy Sue I have more of this
Elgar
Purdy

On further investigation the bright green has to be a Noid. Not one of these should have webbing.

Would it be a safe guess to say that the fuzzy ones (w/greyish green, plum leaves) is Elgar and the hairy green ones are Silver Thaw?? None of the ones named in your list is fuzzy except for Elgar, right? And Silver Thaw is more on the hairy side than the fuzzy leaf side, right? Just process of deduction as nothing is really obvious except for the fuzzy versus the hairy? Shrug!

I was afraid you guys would say not sure! Sad Greg told me that as well when he was here last summer. I wouldn't want to trade these to people with out a firm ID. I have more Silver thaw as well. So really only lost Elgar and Oley. I think the "Purdy' I had was not "Purdy". Didn't come from a good source. I checked Peter's site and nothing in that container looks like 'Purdy'.

I agree with Bev I think the green is Silver Thaw (which is an arachnoideum I thought??) Thumbs up Your Tracy Sue looks different than mine I think, but mine is on the tan side currently, and you have one in there that looks a little tan...I would agree with you though that you could trade with someone, just let them know that it is a guess and not sure!! I tip my hat to you.

I love that there are people who are just looking for any semps, regardless of ID, to try their hand at growing hardy succulents! Form, texture and color is what hooks me to those little rascals... Drooling

Julia, in my opinion (which apparently I like so much I'm probably repeating myself!! Rolling on the floor laughing ) I think the middle bright green semp is 'Silver Thaw' the brownish one on left side of 1st photo looks like 'Traci Sue' and I don't know the other semps!
Cheers I tip my hat to you.

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing You are so funny!!! I'm pretty sure the center is not silver thaw, have some of that labeled and it's very different. I could be wrong. Hilarious! All this will look good in my NOID patch. Sad Live and learn, I was so sure I would be able to tell them apart.
