Does anybody know the name of the Sempervivum in the photo? The tips are maroon- purple and leaves sort of olive color. Grows to medium. Looks like "Proud Zelda" but is not. At least I don't think it is. Confused Thanks Bob

Do you have a list of your semps Bob? That you can go through the process of elimination?
It is an interesting semp. Smiling

I ordered several sempervivum "Vikings" from Young's Garden last year and this is what they sent me. Definitely not Viking. I'm starting to think it's "Proud Zelda". And Young' Garden denies that they sub without my knowledge. Oh well. I'm going to name it, "Not Young's Garden". I found more for sale on Ebay and they didn't know the name of it either.

Bob,
I don't think your's is PZ. SMG has a plant listed as Zelda which i assumed was Proud Zelda .( It does look to be that 1) my plants came yesterday. These are small plants but this is what they look like, Totally different but they are young plants.and i will have to wait until spring to see what they turn out to be

Bob, let's keep an eye on it and see what stages it goes through until winter. Don't give up on it yet. Smiling

There is Proud Zelda and just Zelda - 2 different plants!! Bob - for sure that isn't Viking you are correct! I'm guessing Young's sent the wrong plant but wasn't subbing it out - I think who ever pulls the plants to ship pulled the wrong thing Thumbs down Hope you figure out what you have! Thumbs up

yes, there is a Zelda and Proud Zelda. Two different plants.

As soon as I'm through here, will check out Veleda Cliff.

I don't have any Proud Zelda's, Lynn. Wanna sell me some??? lol

I'm not giving up on it. I like it a lot. Just want a name. I now have over 50 of them.

Ok, let me go look at Veleda.

Thanks all for you interest.

It's not Quintessence. See the tufting at the tips, and the more velvety leaves?

Greg,

I have cheap camera, plus one is very small plant. But yes, the purple tips are pretty. I need to enhance in Gimp then publish on here.
