The Plant Lovers Guide To Salvias by John Whittlesey (http://www.canyoncreeknurseryd...) is out. I was lucky enough to have my copy signed last weekend when the author and the board from Pacific Horticulture visited The Sacramento Historic Cemetery gardens including The Hamilton Square Perennial Garden. Some of the photos in the new book were taken there and Hamilton Square was mentioned as a go to place to see Salvias. Sooner or later I'll have them all posted on ATP. A very instructive book for all plant lovers.

I read on the net about that book last week and thought about getting it.

Thanks for mentioning it here and posting the link! I tip my hat to you.

That's wonderful that you got yours signed! Thumbs up

I did find one error on page 68. The photo labeled candalabrum is actually interrupta. This is a photo of the plant in Hamilton Square. There is a photo in the database of it also. I did some good natured ribbing about it to the author when he last visited. It's a great read and reference that i'm happy to have. The salvias do so well here. Enjoy.

Thanks for the info! I haven't gotten a chance to go through it completely yet, but I'm so happy to have found it. It was the only copy they had.
