Took this photo at Opry Resort - so many orchids and tropicals - the place is worth seeing when in Nashville. We were delighted by the gardens.

Lovelies, Betsy. thanks for posting. I'm very partial to those stripey Phals like the one in the middle.

Were they in a greenhouse, or some sort of glass enclosure there? Looks like they are growing on permanent mounts and it's certainly too cold in winter in Nashville for all those tropicals.

All of the grounds of the Opry Resort Hotel are enclosed by glass. This hotel is a sight to see. A lot of the outdoor (well, you are indoors!) area has tables/chairs and you are served by one of the restaurants there. There are also numerous paths to take one through the garden areas.

Thanks for sharing, Betsy. I'd have to search for palms and cycads too.

Wish we could have lingered longer and taken more photos but we were on a tight schedule so we ran through it. We did sit a spell under a waterfall on a concrete bench...so, so relaxing...enjoying the sounds of falling water...

Elaine, the grounds are enclosed (it's like being in a tropical rainforest) and have paths to meander. All the rooms that face the garden area have balconies so you can enjoy the lovely plants.
