Anne! This is great! I have everything to make this except for the little gray tubing. I have to dig the cans out of the Recycle bin and believe it or not, I just tossed a old vacuum cleaner hose in there! Now all I need to do is find some sunshine under my canopy of trees. At least they are deciduous.

I ran across it looking for recycling projects .. it thought it would be a great way for augmenting greenhouse heat in the daytime in the frozen north.

I am thinking of doing this with longer hoses, or up on the roof. I wonder what the HOA would say about tin cans on my roof?? I need to reach for the sun here and it might take some doing to get it into the GH! Still, I think this idea is very doable and very economical and most of all a SAFE way of heating the GH. Thanks!

You all are very welcome ... I'll definitely be doing this when I get a new greenhouse.
Something occurred to me earlier. When I lived in England I had a heater that was called a 'trickle down' heater. There were something like bricks that held heat and in the daytime low voltage would be used to heat the bricks ... considering how much heat this thing can put out, it might be worth looking into a way to have all this heat get stored then released at night.
