Hi
Im newer to the forums and I have been having a white buildup on some of my plants soil and pots.. it doesnt seem to be the same as the crusty mineral deposits.. and then.. i realized that it all seemed to happen a couple of months after I repoted some plants with new soil and.. one of my cats started having rapid sneezing fits.. and me headaches.. I moved as many as I could outside ( no balcony and not much room) and then I watered a couple of days later.. and boom!! A ton of these cute little mushrooms... all over some ofthe plants..I think read hydrogen peroxide and dish soap in a big thing of water over and over will kill the fungus etc...I cleaned as well as I could and even got a air purifier.. so two days ago I had to move every plant back in doors.. they are painting our buildings. And i laid sheets etc..and scrubbed pots on the sides that I found the white thicker film and watered with hydro and dawn again.. they were bone dry.. and my place is very cool but they are near the window and today a mushrrom and I removed it as deep as I could and then removed the top layer.. and once again.. scratchy throat etc... not sure what to do.. I cant replace all the soil and pots right now and I dont know how to do it without getting spores all over me and well just everywhere.

The white build-up appears to be salts, which usually come from the water.

It looks it in the picture.. but in a 24 hour period? On pots that never had any white? None.. until they were all moved inside and i watered it had small amount of dawn and hydrogen peroxide in it.. and boom in the after noon next day a mushroom when i hadnt had them in a month or so outside and the one that got the mushroom had been inside never close to the others and it was that night.. i hate i had to bring them in before i could repot.. clean the pots.. if i can.. and its only on clay..not seeing on plastic but the white.. its different .. bumpy and i get horribly scratcjy in thebthroat and ears everything and i hadnt had that issue until yesterday when it all popped up again.. and last time the mushrooms didnt show up til they were outside.. quickly too..
but i was wondering .. what kind of white powdery mold grows on tgose big smooth rocks you can put in the trays with water to provide humidity? Im sure theres several types but i realized a while back my plant inthe tray got that all nasty stuff all over it in the water and rocks and smelled awful
