'Tricolor' cultivar has a white stripe that I can't see in this pic. It may be a 'Red Princess' or other similar cultivar.

It looks like there is a center stripe to me but I can't always tell about some of the photos.

I know, can't tell from this pic, so thought it worth mentioning that it doesn't look like 'Tricolor' to me, from this pic.

There are some close shots of leaves in the plant database here.
Dragon Tree (Dracaena reflexa var. angustifolia 'Tricolor')
Everybody's plant shown there, and in any other venue where I've seen them, pretty much looks the same, with distinct green, white, and pink/red stripes. So difficult to acclimate, I've never gotten any of mine into full sun though. Maybe the extra redness is from that? IDK, just throwing in $0.02' worth of input, I hope, for discussion.

Jmorth, can you decide from being able to see the plant in person? I'd love to see more pics. Never seen one that red until I saw yours, then found that cultivar searching google images for "red Dracaena marginata." What do you think?

The dracaena change color intensity greatly depending on the amount of light or sun they get so there is that variable when trying to compare photos.

The plant is at a friend's house 5 miles away. Next time there I'll check further.
I had it moved to Red Princess in DB, but remain open to further comments.

It seemed too red to me for 'Tricolor' and then I see something like this:

It does look like a =very= red Dracaena marginata cultivar. I was thinking 'Colorama' which is much redder than 'Tricolor'. This plant is much too red for 'Tricolor', maybe even too red for 'Colorama'. But as has already been mentioned, amount of sun can make a difference, also nutrition (e.g. iron can bring out red coloration in some plants).

Another possibility is Cordyline australis, as in Cordyline australis 'Electric Pink'
http://www.plantify.co.uk/Cord...

or Cordyline australis 'Sunrise'
http://ocsucculents.com/highli...
http://www.smgrowers.com/produ...

Growth habit seems more D. marginata, but I don't know. All I really know is I like it!

Could you lop off maybe a one-foot section and send it to me? I might then be able to give you a better ID. Hilarious! Hilarious! Rolling on the floor laughing
