After 12 or 14 days (seems like months) of 90+ temps some of my orientals are fried. Elena Rose and Cobra are the worst, The old troopers like Casa Blanca in even more sun are fine-so far. Chill Out is fine too and in a very hot spot. Today is supposed to be the end of it for this heatwave. It is the end of me for sure if it is not! these were planted late so it may be worse than if they had been earlier to bloom as if fall planted. The Asiatics, OT's and LA/LO hybirds are OK. Although the heat has pretty much turned them into daylilies. Blooms don't last long and some colors are washed out. It has been so hot the stigmas are wilting daily on them!

Does anyone know if Chill Out has "Aubade" in it?

Pretty significantly fried. Two summers ago we had that same weather. T went on for weeks and usually lilies can withstand a lot of weather variation and heat but I literally had lilies that melted in the sustained heat, even OTs! I hope you get relief soon and some moisture if you need it. Our heat was paired with no moisture and that just accentuated all of it.

Chill Out: Bischoff Tulleken Lelies; "Parentage unknown"

Well it is supposed to quit soon, tomorrow is supposed to be in the 80's, still way over my comfort threshold but better that then this. Today is not so hot, shaded due to lots of smoke in the air (wild fires). And finally some breeze. But it was the worst night ever, only got to 72 in the house overnight and I have a cool house! This is supposed to be some kind of record for here, as far as sustained days of hell on earth goes - it can and has gotten hotter.

If it is any consolation we have the heat wave here, too. Daytime highs in the mid nineties and probably more humid than what you get up there. I've been mostly hunkering down inside... 'Sposed to be cooling off now.

Pard-really? I googled and got Mak breeding but no info. It is not in the online registry. You must have found it in a supplement. I am not looking at any PDF files, my computer is old and gets really cranky in the heat (much like its owner).
I bet if it opens I can tell, Aubade had wonderful substance and that was carried on to its progeny. Anyway it is not open yet, I got it since it appeared so much like Aubade.
Time to give my poor computer a nap, I have a clip on fan for it but that is not enough today.

Yes I know you are suffering too, I check the weather to see what I am missing. But you cool off more at night and should have a breeze every day, the farm always had wind - sometimes a lot more than I cared to have!

It is in the 3rd Supplement. If big honking pdfs are hard on your computer just let me know if there is anything I can look up for you. The 4th Supplement came out recently and goes through August 2012.

Not all that much in the way of breezes here lately but I am just happy with the cooler temps!

Pard-Thanks, I will let you know. I need a new computer but can't afford it and my computer doctor is 450 miles away. We are cooler today, lots of smoke blocking the evil sun and a breeze, that is not good for the fires that are out of control though. None close to me at the moment.
