Has anyone ever grown these before? This is my first year to grow them and the plants are literally twice as tall (and just more robust in general) than my Russet Burbank variety. I just hope there are some potatoes under all that greenery -- these weren't fertilized any differently from the russets. Confused

Sandy, did you find anything out?

I did ask some friends, who I knew had grown them a couple of years ago -- it was actually their recommendation that made me try this variety -- and they said the plants were extra large but they also got lots of potatoes and they also stored very well. Right now my plants are at least 3' tall, and just overall big. Might try digging up a couple of the plants for some "new potatoes" just to see what's there... (although I've been working on the "Red Gold" for that purpose because they are always the first to start sprouting in the winter).

I'll post a followup here when I know more! Smiling
