Someone posted a nice picture of Plumeria seedlings in the Plumeria forum, and so I proposed it for the Plumeria database, but the search would not allow me to find the general 'Plumeria' category while going to through the 'propose this for the database' process. What am I doing wrong?

Type in the plant ID number instead of the name. The ID number for the Plumeria parent page is 236427.

Yes, for the generic pages, I always got find that page first and copy the Plant ID# or the URL.
