I received this as a bonus with my Wilds order last week and the pics in the db look pretty, I think I'll keep it for now. Was wondering if it blooms much? I can't tell from the pics what kind of bud count it has. I do wish more pics were of a clump and not just the flowers themselves. I hope it blooms alot, it looks like a nice one.

I going to assume you meant Abstract Art Whistling I looked it up in the data base and one of the photos in the data base is one you added back in 2010 over on cubits. From that photo it looks to have a pretty decent bud count

Yes I meant Abstract Art, well that is embarrassing, I guess my fingers don't work before morning tea either... Yeah, I grew it once but it was a long time ago and I can't actually remember it, must not have been that spectacular ! I did look through the photos but I just couldn't tell for sure. I think it bloomed decent but if I remember right I only had it 2 summers. That is the only pic I have of it. So I thought a more mature clump may have a better bud count than mine did. Wish I had took more photos of stuff. I am going to make a point to take pics that show more of the plant and not just a single bloom like I usually do. more clump shots.

I haven't done the bud count yet, but I know it isn't one of the new super breed with like 50 buds. It is one of the good old wild (?) cultivars that make a dependable clump of lovely color and grows well year after year. I have had mine for years and have just started to separate it and move it around. My original clump is huge, and there are always many flowers, but not because each scape has a huge bud count.
