A couple of members have Lion's Tail (Leonotis leonurus) so hopefully one of them will see your post and you can work a trade with them. Sure is a pretty plant ... I saw lots of it when I was vacationing in California last summer.

I really so hope someone has some seeds that they are willing to trade. I kept seeing pictures of the Lion's Tail on here and other sites and I thought it was a beautiful plant and the fact that its drought tolerant is another plus. Thumbs up

People seem to use the name Lion's Ear for two different plants.

I have seeds for the one that is an annual, has big heart shaped leaves on the lower portion of the plant and thin leaves only up near the blooms. My seeds are from 2013.

Not looking for any particular seed in trade; my standard request is 'just send me something interesting in return'.

Send me a Tree-mail if this is the kind of seed you are wanting. Thank You!

It does get confusing when so many plants (sometimes from an entirely different genus) have the same common name. Blinking Confused Glare There are a few Leonotis listed in the database: http://garden.org/plants/searc...

greene: Is your Leonotis possibly this one? he Lion's Ear (Leonotis nepetifolia)

@plantladylin, yes as near as I can guess that is the one I have growing at the moment. I do have seeds for the other type but have not started them (it's been a slow gardening year for me). Maybe by next year I can have some comparison photos to post.
