I would like to see another choice in the container field. So many times, I am entering data or even looking at data for plants I know well & they can be grown in containers, just not smaller containers. Many of the Crepe Myrtles would be an example of this. Ligustrum, some of the palms.
Presently, the only thing covering the size of the container size are:
suitable in 1 gallon
suitable in 3 gallon or larger
Let's take the Crepe Myrtles for example. There's no way they can grow in anything remotely resembling a 3 gal. container, nor a 5, nor a 10. When I read 3 gal. & larger, to me, that gives the impression that you are talking about "smaller" containers, not about 25 gal. containers or even larger. It causes me to NOT check that field even though I know these things can be grown in very large containers. I do not want someone to get the impression they can grow something like a Crepe Myrtle or Ligustrum in a 5 or 10 gal. container.
What are your thoughts?

I'm not sure that I see the need for this because almost anything can be grown in a container that's 25 gallons or larger, even if it might be happier in the ground. I think the comment field is perfect for this kind of information. If you're successfully growing a specific type of Crepe Myrtle in a container, for instance, tell us about it in a comment in the pertinent entry, stating the size of the container and explaining any special steps you take to keep it happy in a container.

That's my thoughts, too.
