Remember this beauty, JT?? She has been such a joy to grow for the past 4-5 years and gives such nice flushes. And her little blossoms are perfect every time.

I think that one is one of those that had a faint tinge f lavender.Does yours have that? BTW,I think I grew and named that one but the seed was from Ludger. Given all my senior moments lately,at least I think that was it.

Yes, JT............you grew this out of Ludger's seeds and you named it. It does have the lavender tinge........... there is a blue haze to it which turns to lavender on the pale pink blossoms. You still have it?

Of course I will keep some back for you. She is setting seedpods and I am keeping the ones on the trunk I chose to make Inspiration into a standard form. There is plenty to cut back at this point.

I love 'Inspiration' - one of my favorites. My original plant came from JT. I'm not sure I have it anymore, but I might. I lost my mother plant, but had several potted cuttings. Fast forward several years and a move later, I have a number of brugs with lost tags, so one of them is very likely 'Inspiration', I just have to wait for blooms to see!

Brenda (seedsprout) also had a nice one with that lavender tinge. I don't remember the name but a cross of those two might bring out a bit more lavender.

JT, I have lost track of Brenda D/seedsprout and don't know how to get in touch with her.

I will root several cuttings for you, JT and Doris...............happily!!! Thumbs up

I will be offline for two weeks as I take a cruise with my siblings..............we are heading for cooler climes and I can use that after this heat and humidity of this summer!!!

Hi, everyone, I am back and getting used to the "real" world!!! It is hard after over two weeks of having it my way! Ha! And Alaska? I did not have any interest in it but now I have to say................if you get the chance, go see it. Our trip was perfect timing...........cool enough that there were no flies, gnats or mosquitos!!!

I am disturbed to hear that Brenda D. may be having so health issues going on. I hope Ginger can come thru with an email address for her.

I have several Inspiration cuttings I started before I left on my trip....JT and Doris..........I came back as she was starting her 5th flush of the season. Since our weather is cooler, I am not sure how long it will take to root the cuttings. And everything will be coming inside soon, by the 1st of November here.

I know the Alaska trip must have been wonderful. That is one place on my bucket list and now that the nursery is closed it just may happen one day.
I also hope we can get an email address on Brenda. It may do her good to hear from old friends.

Ironic the timing of things. Shortly after seeing this thread and posting on it, I found mine! Hurray! I've seen it a thousand times, but it finally had blooms on it, which is how I figured out which one it was (plus, it's pot is somewhat unique and after seeing the bloom, I remembered that I had 'Inspiration' growing in that pot Sticking tongue out ).

Oh, yes, Rhapsody...............my brugs have been inside for a while now. This is the time of year we really start getting antsy to get Spring here and get everyone outside into the fresh air!! But before that happens, we are getting some bitter cold, all the way down into Florida, mid week..................so think of us as you bask in sunny Long Beach!

You're right about the cold in Florida, Brenda....back to back hard freezes here. I'm so glad my son was able to put a BIG "band-aid" on my GH. I lost a lot of plants last winter Crying

Rhapsody Glad to see you got yours inside, it has been bitter cold here, -8 with -14 wind chill today it looks OK but then you find all is covered in ice, schools are all closed.
I think next spring I will want to get more Brugs, I really miss them.
