Does anyone have a name for this hosta? It has become quite large over the last four years. This is when I first moved it to my new garden. I still don't know who it is! Any help would be appreciated.
It looks a bit odd in the picture because it is a large leaf Hosta with each leaf forming a cup. Some of the leaves are flipped making it look like it is sunken. I have had this one for over 12 years now. My collection consists of 160 Hosta and I am very careful when buying new ones so far I have no problems with any HVX. Thank you for your thoughts.
I am a Master Gardener for our county so now that you have me thinking I'm sending a leaf off to Penn State to have it checked. With 160 different types of cultivars I don't want to have to destroy them all and start over. I'll let you know what they find when the results get back. Here's hoping I'm just being over protective.
Here's hoping. And it's not easy to diagnose a problem from a photograph. However, having said that, more than once I've noticed a problem of one type or other with my hostas from the photos I've taken. I think we sometimes view them in person with shades on. Good that you have such a facility nearby. I don't; so I've spent a fair bit on test strips that I've not used and probably won't use before they expire.
