Not sure if you've heard, but Mark Zillis announced that his nursery will close this fall. If he's not doing the hybridizing and tissue cultures anymore our hosta selections will be very limited and more expensive. Sad news for hosta collectors.

Yes, I received their announcement and advertisement Wednesday night, and I quickly ordered a lot of hostas. The next day, I ordered even more.

I am waiting for their confirmation email, and I will see what they have left, and I will buy more.

Have you been buying from them?

Yes, and I will miss them! I've purchased some really nice hostas from them over the years.

My QandZ order arrived today. Fortunately, I was home because Sears was to deliver and install a couple of appliances.

The UPS driver announced that he had 10 boxes of plants.

I opened all the boxes, removed the flats, and watered the plants.

The packing list listed over 1220 plants, 70 different cultivars.

These and others will be for sale next spring.

Do you have a list of what you will have available this Spring. After the New Year starts I get to planning for Spring.

Sometime after January 1, I will create a list of hostas for sale.
There are some that I will not sell because I need to increase inventory.

Last fall I did not have time to pot all the liners that arrived, so I just let some go dormant in their tight-fitting trays.

Yesterday I took inventory and I have over 800 liners to address.
