Thanks Lin!!!! I found it growing in the compost pile a little after Christmas 2011Tarev. It was a piece of the one in my profile picture that i froze the prior yr. in 2010. Here's a picture of it, and, a picture of it about a month ago in the garden outside behind the White chair to the right a little at about 10' tall;

I have one that I planted in the ground behind my deck last spring and it's gotten pretty big. There are two others still in pots that I put in a corner behind the deck; they look pretty ratty because they rarely get watered but I think they've taken root in the ground. I will go out and see if I can get a couple of pictures.

This is the best shot I could get of the one I planted in the ground ... the waterway behind the house is only about 2' from this area and I'm always leery about going out there because of snakes! I haven't seen any snakes recently but we have water moccasins around. Blinking

And there are two pots that I stuck between the deck and the fence up by the corner of the house; only one is in view here and they are awful looking from neglect.

A mature monstera is so majestic! I love them. I like how you did your profile photo too, hiding behind the giant monster in your yard. Smiling
My monstera is still just a baby. I'd like to see it become a monster one of these days.
