Think we could do some investigation about Donnarose?

This is mine today

Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum tectorum 'Donarrose')
Database

Is there 2 different plants in these pictures. I'm going to watch mine, I think it has to much cilia.

I need to get one more picture.

Okay, this one is going to be tricky.
Horst's site show two different types of semps for this name, and gives Kayser & Seibert as the breeders. http://translate.google.com/tr...

Peter's site does not have it listed.

This site lists it, but does not list the breeder.

Let the sleuthing begin. Hurray!

Julia, it's no tectorum if it has those tufts of hair. It looks like an F1 arachnoideum X tectorum or marmoreum hybrid from your picture I would think more likely the latterbased upon shape and color but it's only a guess..

I don't grow or never have seen the plant but you can tell by the growth habit that is not only tectorum and maybe not tectorum at all IF you have the real McCoy!

I just found another piece of information on Horst's site.

There seems to be a Donar Rose by Joy Cumine / GB / 1989: This one looks just like yours Julia. http://sempervivum-liste.de/Se...
We already have an entry for this one, but no photos. Hen and Chick (Sempervivum 'Donar Rose')

Then the Donnarrose by Kayser & Seibert / D / 1965 / This one give the description as: large, light brown green rosettes, ciliate margins beautiful, blossom pink.
I see we have an incorrect entry in our database for this one. I just moved it to Donar Rose, now there is one entry for Donar Rose.

Thank you! Such good sleuthing. Those names are close and I can see were they could get mixed up.
