Sadly, The Plant Farm located up at Smokey Point next to the Costco-Target mess is closing its doors. I think they have been struggling with the inconvenient traffic pattern ever since they relocated south of the shopping center. They are having a close-out sale beginning Oct 10 and will only be open Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (9-5) until they clear out the shelves. Sorry to see them go.

I went today. Bought some container soil, a big purple container and a pail of transplant fertilizer. Not much left lots of big trees, shelving and nursery pots for the most part.
I wonder what will go in on that spot? I hope not more shopping!!!!!!
Just back from The Plant Farm - got a couple good sized trees for my son, as well as a sour gum for myself. Commiserated a bit with the knowledgeable plant lady (Mary) who was as helpful as she always is.

Went back again today to catch the 70% off sale. Picked up a bunch of sad looking perennials that should be fine in the spring for $1.20 each, a good sized sweet gum, couple random shrubs, and some grasses. Guess I better get out and plant them while it's nice out.
