Got a notice from Klehm's Song Sparrow that they're having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on their remaining peonies. Sale goes through 12 November, automatically reduces total by the price of the least expensive peony as you add them to the cart, no promo code needed. They still have some very nice peonies left! http://www.songsparrow.com/cat... goes straight to their peony pages.

Anyone who likes the cactus dahlia type peony blooms will love Song Sparrow, Roy Klehm developed a lot of them. I've been looking for Pink Tutti Frutti for several years and it just became available again this year through SS. There are several still available on their site, some of which I've never seen available anywhere else in the U.S.

Bad Bad Bad. I had finished my orders for plants. I actually picked out three only to find that they have 'special' shipping to Alaska. No one else does. At least those like Adelman's or Hidden Springs. Can't get in touch with them til Monday. May transship through my shipper in Portland. Peonies are tough and the extra day or so won't hurt them. Want to check prices at the above two but I don't think they can beat the 3 for 2 pricing.
From -60 Alaska to +100 Virginia. Wahoo

Saw your post and went to check their website. I too am interested in the Pink/green combo peonies. I have been wanting to add them as well as Green Halo but that variety is sold out. I would like to add some of the green peonies to the garden. Though the pinks which I already have many are nice too.

Kousa, I haven't had any luck with Green Halo or Green Lotus, Pink Spritzer bloomed last year as did Circus Circus and Pink Rumba. Those 3 are pretty much the same flower just with more pink in the background (Circus Circus) and brighter pink splotching. Flowers are about the same size for me anyway and not much noticeable fragrance.

I moved Green Halo and Lotus this fall to full sun, think they were shaded too much by the house where they were planted. Hopefully I'll have blooms next spring!

Mine doesn't, Kousa. It's about the same colors as Raspberry Rumba but has bigger splotches of pink rather than the streaky look of Rumba, about 50/50 pink to white for mine. I actually like Circus Circus better than both of those, it's a light pink base with dark pink splotches. It's a fairly small shrub right now though, had to more it out of the overgrown wild roses and so it was divided last fall. Hopefully it'll bloom again this spring.

I really like the cactus dahlia bloom type of peonies, got quite a few the last couple of years.
