Look what I found when I turned my Strawberry jar around.
One stem is thicker then towards end it's flattened and curved with leave's growing.

Do I pull the stem and root it or leave it be? Shrug!

Hurray! Oh that is so cool Linda. It is I would detach it and root it, so the normal growth does not take it over. Wow, that is so exciting. Please keep up updated.
What sedum is that?

Linda try laying the long stem on a shallow tray of soil, leaving it attached to the main plant. About two inches from the crested growth put soil over the stem (on the parent plant side of the crest. Place a rock over the dirt, without the rock touching the crested part. That way you can let it continue growing through the winter without worrying about whether it will root or not this time of year.
Or you can cut it off about 2 inches below the crested part and put it into a pot of soil, burying the stem almost up to the crested part.

I'm with you on that Linda. Once it gets growing you will have to watch for any normal growth that might start up. Keep the normal stuff pruned out, or it will take over and you will lose the crested growth.
