I have most of them, Margie, and I'm happy with almost all of them. It might be easier to tell you the ones I'm not crazy about. Colorific has pretty blooms, but the rose bush itself usually looks bad. I have three of them in three different parts of the garden, and all of them are plagued by poor shape, black spot, and inexplicable dieback on most of the canes. Touch of Class and Twilight Zone also don't grow as well as they should.

If I had to start all over and could only have three, I'd choose Dream Come True, Playboy, and Sally Holmes.

Hmm... I ordered Twilight Zone form Palatine is your grafted? It's interesting that you chose Playboy. I was reading about it the other day and it stated that Playboy is tolerant to partial shade. Thank you for narrowing down the list for me.

Playboy will tolerate part shade, and it's also one of the few roses in my garden that never gets black spot.

Yes, my Twilight Zone is grafted, but it may have been a dud. I think I might have bought it from Edmunds' Roses or S&H Greenhouse, both of which are inferior to Palatine.

i purchased Twilight Zone from Edmunds, and when it failed, I ordered a 2nd from Chamblee. It also struggled, and I blamed the heat and drought. I'm trying a final, third time only because friends here do grow it successfully.

Are the roses from Rosemania well rooted?

My Twilight Zone I got locally and it's doing great. And my Colorific was one of the best of my roses this year with both form & blooms. Amazing how climate can really be a huge factor! Both are 2nd year roses in my yard.. bought them in 2013 locally, plopped 'em the ground, mulched the snot outta them, and they came back gangbusters this year. Twilight Zone was heavily crowded by some daylilies & my one hibiscus, both of which have been removed to give those roses there (I had planted Twilight Zone next to Bolero 2000 to give a nice purple/white effect) more breathing room.

I'm eyeballing Good as Gold, Heart of Gold, and maybe Above All, but that's kinda pathetic of an order. Plus I can probably find them locally next year.

Not sure what you mean by this unless you're talking about own-root roses. Rosemania's plants are grafted. I've always been pleased with my roses from them, although I haven't ordered for the last couple of years because they have such a small selection. I already have most of their roses, and I don't like to place small orders. Their roses, in my opinion, are much nicer than the roses from S&H Greenhouse and Edmunds' Roses.

The Rosemania site just says the roses will arrive in good condition. It doesn't say if they are bands, or if they are 1 year old or 2, or what they are grafted to. I admit I only looked through the rose section of the Rosemania site, but as a first time viewer of that site, my impression is that the supplements are the main business and roses are just an extra. It would be better if they had photos of the plants they ship.
Most of the plants I receive from Edmunds are good size 2 year old number one roots. I'm asking if these are that size or better, so you have answered my vaguely worded question.

If you look above the paragraph with that guarantee, Cindi, you'll see that the page is titled "Bare Root Roses." As they don't specify anything different, I'm sure they meet the usual requirements -- grade #1 roses, at least 2 years old, and probably grafted onto Dr. Huey. I remember their roses being quite nice. In fact, if the two Weeks roses they add later look good, I may order from them again this year. I think I'll replace my Ketchup and Mustard. The one I bought from Regan three years ago is still only about 18 inches tall. It resembles a mini, but I know it should be much larger.

My K&M is also pathetic but I bought it as a 5gal locally and its just never really gotten big. Very disappointed in it.

Mine is still too small to have been sold as a 5-gallon rose. The 5-gallon roses sold locally here are at least 2 feet tall. The blooms are absolutely gorgeous, though, so I want them on a bigger rose bush. Maybe I'll just move mine. It's growing in a spot that's constantly full of grassy weeds. Maybe it can't compete.

Ketchup and Mustard is an inferior rose, in my opinion. The two that I grow have failed to thrive, and friends in my area have reported the same issues. The plant had wonderful roots and strong canes, but it just didn't grow.
Both of mine put out just 2 or 3 nice blooms all season. The only really good bloom it ever had is the one you see in my avatar! Mine are planted in a prime spot. So disappointing.

My K+M did put out some pretty blooms, but is so pathetic in size.. I think it's maybe a foot tall and 2ft wide. And it's so unrobust. Very disappointed in it.

I was so intrigued by the new Weeks roses that I ordered both of them and Coretta Scott King. The shipping for four roses (I ordered one for a friend) came to only $14.00.

I also bought Crescendo at a local nursery a few weeks ago, as well as a second Ketchup & Mustard.
