My DIL Sandy has discovered the secret of getting Culebra to blossom. It is on it's third flush this season, blooming away inside the greenhouse. I counted 14 blossoms and buds. Mine is about to blossom in my GH.

Sorry, no big deal, the secret.............I have always had my plant in a pot and so Sandy followed suit. This last Spring she decided to put Culebra in the ground and with morning sun, dappled shade starting at 11 am for the rest of the day. And it loved it!!

She is so tickled that Culebra has done so well for her.

I never put my Culebra in the ground or hardly disturbed it in the pot as I was told it did not like it's roots disturbed. Looks like that advice is wrong. Mine is going in ground next year!

Thanks, Rhapsody..........my plant is about 7 years old.

Do you remember years ago when I sent you some brugs from Georgia.............I certainly remember your name and we discussed Long Beach, near my old stamping ground of Lomita and Torrance! Sure is great to see what a beautiful collection you have now! My sister lives in Garden Grove and I have tried to talk her into taking some brug cuttings from me for years but she uses all her land for veggie and fruit gardening..........except for her roses!

YES I do remember Missy! You sent some seeds as well. Most of the cutting took well and are happily growing in the yard. Nice to see you here sunshine. Your sister probably has a good idea in not getting the cuttings. They sure are addictive. ... worse the chocolate! Now my next door neighbor is hooked as well (she is one of my back up plains). I have given her 12 so far. But she is a nice older lady and it makes her day when I tell her " no way am I giving you that one"... Then I root it and 4 weeks later she is beaming with her brug in the 4 inch pot.

Thank you for remembering me Brenda Group hug

Thank You! Sneaky and giving at the same time Brenda! She is always looking to see what I am doing so she can do the same thing... water, fertilize, sweeping the leaves off of the grass.

So are we going to get some pictures of these seed pods?
