Rain, wind, thunder, tornadoes, flooding coming this weekend?? And oddly enough temps in the 80's?! Maybe other parts of Texas are already getting it? Sandi? You are north of me. How is your stormy weather?? I cleaned off the roof of leaves, and then blew all the leaves out of the yard. I know it is all for naught as the storm will surely bring more debris and leaves to clean up. But there were enough leaves out there that doubling them, then wetting them with rain would only make the job worse next week. I locked down the greenhouse for its first real test.

We are forecast to get all of that, too, Saturday afternoon into evening, Cheryl. Could do without the high winds, but the rain sure will be welcome.

Rain is always welcome here, but the rest of it not so much. Last I looked, they'd taken away some of the 'severe' part of the forecast. I hope that doesn't mean they'll remove the rain next. Happens a lot. Dashed hopes are the norm.

Light rain mucked my day of running errands. Many stores were quiet....for now. I think all heck will break loose starting next week with Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The rain has stopped. The rain gauge measured 1". It seemed like more. Very light flooding in some areas. It sounds like we're in for more rain tomorrow.

We are forecast to get the worst overnight and tomorrow. They've removed the scariest parts of the forecast, but have left in flooding.
I have to say, I'm a bit peeved with the weather guy. DH wanted to take me out or dinner, but I didn't want to be caught in the wind and hail and rain. I think they both owe me dinner now.

See that red line of storms on the left? That's coming from the west. See that other yellow mass on the right and bottom? That's coming from the south . Now see that red tag in the middle ? That's my house. I'll be lucky to have a greenhouse in the morning! I hear the rumble outside right now!

Had almost the opposite last night. My house is around the X. Still got around 1/2 inch of rain, but not as much as I wanted. Didn't get wind, so shouldn't complain, though, right? Smiling

The resident weather boy here said we got a little over two inches. Lake LBJ area got nearly four inches. We were planning to run up there to water one last time. Now I can hide pots around here in the backyard. Sighing!

That sure was a lot of noise for a measly 3/4" of rain. The GH is still standing and heading upwards of 87º. All the GH windows are open and the fan on Hi. It is a blustery, sunny day! Hurray!

We just inherited our DD s little greenhouse. They were putting it out for "bulk pick up". Decided to see if we wanted it. Sure, why not. DH was sure parts would be missing, but it's all here. We bought a roll of 6 mil plastic last year. There's enough left to wrap the house! We have set the base and are about to put up the sides.

Could not figure how it went together, but I remembered a thread about temp. greenhouses. Was able to find a photo of hers on ATP! Made it a whole lot easier to reconstruct!

It's in the 70s today and a little windy. Tomorrow, back to the 60s.
