well... is there any thought or work starting for ones holiday containers.. I know... it's before thanksgiving... but it is also late..no pictures till after though but work has started.. I'll do one on the street... and I've started mine for inside.. basicly ...three plants of the hottest peppers grown together and pretending it it one tree... with a star on top... and all the red peppers hanging like ornaments... with lights and other trimmings... and perhaps a winter scene underneath... "deck the halls"

That sounds so festive Gordon. I can wait to see the photos. What is the one on the street going to be made from?

Oh Lynn... the street container is about 4' long a foot wide and stands about 40" tall/// the back are ribbons about 14 of them that go up to an upper support...morning glory supports in the summer.. this is the year for new ribbons... silver latticed white with sparkles... a few ornamental kale plants are in it now... most years I have a gingerbread house in it,,, made of foam... decorated inside and out... with windows to view the cristmas scene inside... last year it suffered a few visits by vandals and will be replaced this year... it will have a tree inside decorated with lights.. ribbons and bows on both containers

Gordon that looks so festive. I never would have thought about using pepper plants. How old are those plants? Are they Scotch Bonnet peppers? What a beautiful red.

That is Beautiful Gordon. I would not have thought to use those plants either.

Before I logged in here today. I say an email with combo plants to give as gifts for Christmas. I wish I had someone on my list that loved plants as much as myself. There were some really good ideas that I could have put together for Christmas.

Thanks Cinta....it was the hanging red spheres that made me think it was already a decorated tree...and that started me off to flush out the look...
Lynn... Oh they were seeds in the late spring... They spent too long in a red solo cup...but when they found the larger planter they started... They are the hottest peppers in the world...as declared by Guniness this year...topping the Ghost peppers by 25%.... They are the Caroliana Reaper... And they are a deep full red..guess you could say fire engine red...
Oh...this is the ribbon for the street trellis

Wow, that is really hot. Not sure why anyone would eat them? But they sure make a beautiful Christmas tree.
They are beautiful to look at, and so shiny.

Awww Gordon what a cute helper. Cats are always helping. When I was moving my cat ran and got his toys and put them in the boxes. He always wants to get involved. It is how he learned to use the toilet instead of the litter box. Hilarious!

Cinta...yes they do try to be helpful...fly catching and bed preheating are their winter time contributions...
Congratulations on having him use the toilet...I've always thought of having them do that...except for the cat that would also flush... And caused a great water bill.. As they would flush for amusement ... A few of the always accompany me...so there's great interest there...how did you start the training....

Gorden I did not train him. He trained himself. Whatever he see me do he just does the same thing. I did not know where he was going. I was running all around the house and checking trying to find out what was going on. I did not smell anything but I knew he had to be going somewhere. Then one morning I got up and walked in the bathroom turned on the lights and there he sat on the toilet. Now I have to do special cleaning before I use the bathroom.

When he sees me digging to plant my flowers he starts to dig too. I pat the dirt on top he goes behind me and pats the dirt. The problem we have is watering. When he saw me watering I guess he thought since he could not carry a watering can he would just pee on it to water. He follows me around like a dog.

Well the gingerbread house is coming along. It's about a house now next the candy decorations...the idea is the kids come along..it's just about their height...and they look through the windows and see the Santa scene inside... Got to put a fire in the fireplace.. Hang some art on the walls...and some furniture got the battery operated lights strung on the tree..and around the eves of the house now....then comes the candy on the house to gingerbread it...
