I am still seeing a few butterflies here in my gulf-coast Texas garden. Zinnias, roses, and pinks are still in bloom. I'm seeing a few monarchs and a yellow butterfly a couple of days ago was absolutely lovely. It was not a sulphur, but had black patterns on it's wings. It was a small to medium butterlfy. We are enjoying extremely mild temps here still.

Hi, Debby, glad you posted! When it's warm enough, I usually see some butterflies here also. There's still a Red Admiral or two occasionally, those like spoiled fruit when I have some outside. Not many blooms left here. I'd love to see pictures of your butterflies sometime!

Haven't seen too many butterflies this year; guess it's due to the uncommon amount of rain we've had this year?

Think this is about it for my pics over the last year or so. I was thrilled to see the monarch emerging. Only time I've experienced that!

Ooh, you've got Monarchs, Giant Swallowtails, Gulf Fritillaries, and even a Palamedes Swallowtail! Nice variety!

Thanks for identifying. I know monarchs and some swallowtails. Usually have sulphurs too. I plant dill, curley parsley. Also have lots of buttefly weed and citrus trees, so think that is a lot of material for the butterflies. Of course they all love the nectar in lantana, and I have a lot of that too. I just enjoy seeing them all. In Sept., I have what I call a "butterfly fest", lol. That seems to be when I have the most activity and variety.
