Found another sedum I didn't have. Looks like a longer version of Chocolate Ball (why that name- doesn't look like a ball at all). Stems abt. 4 to 6 inches long. Looking forward to see the spring color and growth. Will try to find the wholesaler pot tomorrow to see where it came from.

Thanks Greg. After looking online I think it is Chocolate Ball after all. The one I bought 2 yrs. ago has never gotten that long. Will keep watching to see how it behaves this spring.
Anyone else have Chocolate Ball that has 6-8 inch stems?

Nothing near that size when I grew it.
When I look it up, it does say 6 to 8 inches tall. But another site says 4 to 6 inches.

What a great way to look at my inability to grow this sedum.

I've lost it three times. I have decided that I really don't like the looks of this sedum anyway. It might be ok for a container which is usually temporary anyway. There are plenty of nicer sedums out there that grow well!

I don't think I will try it again.
But I look forward to watching Linda grow it. She always provides us with great photos.

Mine in the big pot struggles, 2 stems in strawberry jar are hanging down, discovered that today. Had a 4-5 inch pot that did well in part shade and now can't remember where I planted it out at.
If you all can't get to stay alive I probably won't either-2 yrs. still struggling but I will try.

The longest I had any of mine was two years.

Mine died the first winter. I notice it is not on Santa Rosa's web site any more so I guess it did not last there winter even in their greenhouse.

Mine is in a pot and looks poorly - with the cold and rain, but I think it'll come back, we'll see! Meanwhile the sedum that I brought into the house are looking really good, I'm surprised but now I know that they can't take the cold temps with so much water
