I was wondering if anyone knows what this one might be?

Dora: All white ones are tough to ID. There are dozens of them currently on the market. Flowers that have distinctive markings on them are so much easier to ID. I can tell that it does not have a ruffled edge and it looks as if it has a green center. It can be really tough to tell the true color with digital photos. Is the bloom actually a very pale lime green or is just the center green. What is the measurement across the face of the flower, tip to tip of opposite petal. Give me an idea of what it actually looks like and I'll check my photos.

It isn't blooming right now, but I would say each bloom was 5 to 6 inches across.Trying to be a bit arty pays off - shots of the back of the leaves show it to be a very pale lime green.

Dora: if the bloom is smaller than you stated, I would ID it as H. 'Lemon Lime'. There are quite a few photos of that cultivar in the database and it was widely available a few years ago. If it is actually 6" across then its much harder to ID. There are several larger ones that had a pale green undercast to them, such as H. Luna, but I don't know of any of the bigger ones that were actually a pale green. Do you expect it to bloom again this season? The size of the flower is the deciding factor in ID this as Lemon Lime.

Maybe. It last bloomed last February, and has been semi-dormant for some time, but I noticed that it is starting to leaf out again. I should give it some fertilizer and make it happy.

Lemon Lime sounds familiar and sounds like something I would pluck out of a bin.

Your bulb could be Lemon Star. The blooms on my current Lemon Star, from White Flower Farm, measure 6.5 inches across the face of the bloom. I had a "lemon star" in 2009 that had a smaller flower. So perhaps this name has been used at least twice for different cultivars. But this would be a possibility for a midsize pale lemon-lime bloom.

I measured when it bloomed - which brings up the question of how to measure. The width from point to point was 6 inches. However the petal itself was 4 and 1/4 inches deep. I assume across the bloom is the usual way it is done though.

It seems it is Lemon Something. I should just enjoy it when it blooms, which is the general idea I suppose.

Meanwhile, its baby has leaves and its own root system so I repotted them today.
