I used to grow Neon Rainbow and North Wind Dancer, beautiful images Betty. Enjoying seeing all the Sobeck cultivars showing up in these threads, too! Bob hybridizes awesome daylilies, great plants with clean colored blooms. I remember visiting his place back 6 or 7 years ago...he had a dark coral pink seedling, tiny 1 - 2" blooms with a nicely proportioned and branched plant. Don't think he introduced it, but I will never forget seeing it that day.

A few to add for "N"....

Night Embers and Mount Helena make a nice combination planted together in the garden.

Nice, clean orchid lavender blooms.

Tall, loaded with buds ( it's a budbuilder) and I love the name.

Very tall, clumps quickly, makes an impressive garden plant for the back of the bed or center of an island.

Fun name! Great plant and good parent for pleated sculpted forms.

I recognized 'Night Beacon' up above and realized that I also had that, but had not listed in my plant list. I need to take inventory this spring and see how many others I have overlooked.

Gosh Char, I would not have recognized Nude Yoga from your pic. Usually it has the petals standing up in the center of the bloom. Does it not look like the registered picture often or does it take it awhile to settle in???

I'm only growing one 'N' which I acquired late last summer. I think it will bloom this year because it grew well after I got it. Here's a photo from the database. This is one I'll locate with some shade. I think the sun here is going to be hard on dark colors like this one.

The image is a face on shot rather than from the side, the petals are standing up some.. although not as much as in Curt's catalog/registration image. There can be variations with the extreme folding in the pleated form and how far up the petal it occurs on each bloom. In addition to the pleated folds seen on the petals surface, extreme folding involves one or two additional folds toward the back of the petal. I've found that they do like to settle in to perform at their best and even then they can still have some variation in the pleating.
