Just curious if anyone has ever participated in the Great Backyard Bird Count. I did it a couple of years ago, but this year I work on all the count days. I'm hoping I can take a little time during my lunch break and maybe a little after work.

I do. It's a great way to spend some time and help out at the same time. I've been doing it for 6 years now. I always sit with my camera because I'll usually see something unusual. The 1st year, I saw a one-legged Starling. Last year, a Merlin. Haven't seen either before or since.

We have participated two times Jay. I am so glad I saw this thread & that you posted it. We always have so much fun doing this. I'm going to make a post it note where I can't miss it so we participate this year. Jay!

I just submitted one but I'm not through yet. I will do more "counts" before it's all over. I always have fun doing this.

I submitted some reports yesterday.

I did a total of 3 today. Hope to do more tomorrow.
