I was so proud of my roses, we even rigged up trellis w/ plastic cable ties and I always took good care
of my roses, then we moved and the tenant let vines choke them, never tended to them and the trellis all
fell down, anyway thankfully she is gone, we did a court eviction in Dec for not paying rent for 3 months,
but here are what once was looking great, at least I still have pictures to enjoy them.

Nearer to spring I am going to have a good look and access the situation, and maybe just tend to them myself as I now have
a paying tenant, but he is not into gardening, and it is still my property and with notice I can go over there to tend to things.

I'd pull out the weeds, cut the roses back quite a ways and put a heap of aged horse manure on them. Then dose w some water and they might surprise you.

My brother has horses, I should have him save me some "stuff", how aged does it need to be?...guess I would
have a easier time just buying some, can`t cost that much

i don't know, but I would say it should smell ok, not strong. If it strong, it would be too early to use it. A good mulch over the roses would be nice too. so they won't dry out too fast between waterings. Your tenant my not water regular. Once he sees how pretty they are though, he might warm up to them!

Frilylily...love that name....the roses are well mulched. My tenant may surprise me. I am glad to have him, he is a air
force guy came from being stationed in Hawaii to Nebraska (poor guy weather wise!) and rented the home from me sight
unseen so he could move right in fresh off the plane! He seems like the type that would care for things...like if he
saw the plants were thirsty I think he would take care of it.
