BEST GENERAL PURPOSE PREDATOR!

Green Lacewing are an exceptional addition to any IPM (Integrated Pest Management) program. Green lacewing are common inhabitants in much of North America. Adults feed only on nectar, pollen, and aphid honeydew, but the larvae are active predators. Be sure to provide food for the adults so they will stay and deposit their eggs.

Green Lacewing larvae are voracious eaters of the eggs and immature stages of many soft bodied insect pests, including several species of aphids, spider mites (especially red mites), thrips, whitefly, leafhoppers, some beetle larvae, eggs and caterpillars of pest moths, and mealybugs. The larvae will eat for 2-3 weeks, spin a cocoon, and 10-14 days later, emerge as adults. These little beauties are a wonderful and cost effective addition to any pest control program.

Which type you order depends on how severe your infestation is.

Green Lacewing Eggs: If you just want to establish Green Lacewing at the beginning of the season or have a limited infestation, choose the appropriate numbers of eggs for your garden or greenhouse. The larvae should emerge 6-12 days after you place your order (the larvae should emerge from the eggs 3-6 days after you receive them, depending on the temperature). Repeat the application in two weeks. Lovey dubby
