Thanks Lynn. Lost the Delo. davyi and haven't seen much of it for sale. Now's probably not a good time for me to buy as I have a lot of plants designated for containers to comb thru. I do really like the plum color of the davyi foliage...
I lost my davyi awhile back. It is one of my favorites. It does go winter dormant. The color changes in the leaves are spectacular. It only blooms in the spring, so good thing the leaves are interesting throughout the growing season.
I bought the Delo. davyi because I had seen Lynn's photo of it and after researching it I also found that it is a smaller type of ice plant than the others. It would be ideal for those wanting to pair it with other plants in a smaller space.
I spotted these babies marked down to €2 in the bargain department of B&Q and couldn't resist giving them a new home. They'll come in handy when I try making a semp ball in the summer.
Yes, D. davyi is slow growing and very low to the ground. Would work wonderful in a miniature container planting. Or all by itself is some sweet little container.
Not to be outdone by everybody here Paddy goes out and buys some Delos as well. One is a noid so we'll see how it turns out in due course. They're from the bargain basket too, €1 each.
