A few days ago I submitted a databox proposal for the Clove plant (the spice). One of the items I amended was the min/max growing zones. Problem was, my research showed the minimum temp for the Clove to be about 60 degrees(F), its natural environment being on or near the equator. But the highest zone available, 11, states a minimum of 45 degrees(F). I guess I'm suggesting a checkbox for "other" to clarify the min/max temps if it's not in the standard zone ranges.

We could add Zones 12 and 13.

The new version of the map includes 13 zones, with the addition for the first time of zones 12 (50-60 degrees Fahrenheit) and 13 (60-70 degrees Fahrenheit). Each zone is a 10-degree Fahrenheit band, further divided into 5-degree Fahrenheit zones "A" and "B."

Okay, that's the best answer to that situation. Thanks Evan. Wonder why that map didn't come up when I researched it. And the article is 3 yrs old.

I search "usda plant hardiness zone map". Starting with usda is key.
